AUXILIARY BOILER STARTING PROCEDURES

BOILER MODE:

This mode is selected when tanker cargo operations are required.
 In Boiler mode:                           BOILER AUTO ON @ 1.52Mpa
                                                       BOILER AUTO OFF @ 1.67Mpa
ECONOMIZR MODE:

This mode is selected at normal sea going (Economizer Back up) Condition
In ECO Mode:                              BOILER AUTO ON   @ 0.44Mpa
                                                       BOILER AUTO OFF @ 0.59 Mpa
IGS MODE:

This Mode is selected at inert gas topping up operation.

PROCEDURES FOR STARTING BOILER

-         Two generators to run (As per load condition)
-         Control Source ON.
-         Flame Eye – Bypass Normal.
-         Thermostat bypass ON/OFF depending on oil.
-         Oil Heater ON/OFF depending on oil.
-         Fuel oil temp around 110 Deg.C if HFO.
-         Main Feed P/P to change over whenever blr press above 1 Mpa.

Auto Operation:

Starting:

-         Depending on requirement select boiler mode or EGB mode.
-         Confirm all are in auto mode.
-         Boiler operations switch auto to auto on position and release.
-         Primary / Secondary / Burner motor start in auto sequence.
-         Pre-purge sequence @ 30 secs
-         Ignition takes place @ 3 secs.
-         Main valve on (FO)
-         Combustion starts after flame eye senses the flame.

Stopping:

-         Burner Operation Stop.
-         DO mixing sequence if HO burning in the burner @ 15 secs.
-         Stop.
-         Post Purge sequence @ 30 secs.
-         After primary / secondary / Burner motor stops @ 30 Mins
